Ford India today reported 57 per cent increase in total sales at 11,805 units in March 2014.The company had sold a total of 7,499 units in the same month previous year, Ford India said in a statement.Domestic sales were up 20.58 per cent to 6,356 units in March as against 5,271 units in the same month previous year, it added.The company exported 5,449 units last month as against 2,228 units in the year-ago period
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India on Tuesday reported a 55 per cent growth in sales at 3,92,148 units in March.The two-wheeler manufacturer's total sales stood at 2,52,787 units in the corresponding month a year ago.Motorcycle sales registered a rise of 57 per cent at 1,90,091 units in March, 2014 as compared to 1,20,796 units in March, 2013, HMSI said in a statement.HMSI also reported an increase of 53 per cent in scooter sales at 2,02,057 units from 1,31,991 units in March, 2013.
Hyundai Motor India on Tuesday reported an 8.37 per cent decline in total sales at 51,708 units in March. It had sold 56,437 units in the same month last year.In the domestic market, the automaker sold 35,003 units during the month, as compared to 33,858 units in the same month a year ago.Exports declined 26 per cent to 16,705 units from 22,579 units in March, 2013.
Mahindra Group's tractor arm on Tuesday reported a 1.97 per cent increase in sales at 17,673 units in March.It had sold 17,330 units in the same month last year.Domestic sales grew 6.55 per cent to 16,571 units as against 15,551 units in the year-ago period.Exports declined 38.05 per cent to 1,102 units, compared with 1,779 units shipped out in March 2013.For the entire fiscal year 2013-14, Mahindra Tractor reported a 19.54 per cent increase in sales at 2,67,634 units compared with 2,23,885 units in the previous year.
Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday reported a marginal decline in total sales at 51,636 units in March.M&M had sold 51,904 units in the same month last year, it said in a statement.Domestic sales during the month stood at 48,490 units as against 49,225 in the same month previous year, down 1.49 per cent.Total sales of passenger vehicles - including Scorpio, XUV500, Xylo, Bolero and Verito - stood at 23,433 units during the month as against 25,847 in March 2013, down 9.33 per cent.Sales of the company's four-wheel commercial vehicles were up 2.53 per cent at 17,649 units as against 17,212 units in March 2013, it said.M&M's exports rose 17.43 per cent to 3,146 units during the month from 2,679 units in March 2013.
TVS Motor Company has reported a 17.44 per cent increase in its total sales at 1,96,826 units in March 2014.The company had sold 1,67,583 units in the same month of the previous year, Company said in a statement.Sales of scooters grew by 63.24 per cent to 47,766 units in March 2014 from 29,261 units sold during the same month of the previous year.Sales of motorcycles grew by 10.27 per cent to 68,158 units in March 2014 from 61,808 units sold during the same month of the previous year.During the month, sales of three wheeler's stood at 8,004 units, an increase of 57.68 per cent, compared with 5,076 units in the corresponding month a year ago.
Yamaha Motor India today reported a 21.33 per cent increase in its total two-wheeler sales at 61,239 units in March 2014 as compared to 50,473 units in the same month of the previous year.Domestic sales stood at 28.7 per cent at 46,052 units as against 35,782 units in the same month a year ago, the company said in a statement.In the export markets, the company sold 15,187 units last month, compared to 14,691 units in March 2013, up 3.37 per cent, it added.
