China's exports rose 10.6% in January compared to a year earlier, accelerating from a 4.3% advance the previous month.Imports increased by 10%, picking up their pace from an 8.3% December advance and beating estimates for a 3% rise. China imported a record 28.16 million metric tons of crude oil in January--equivalent to 6.66 million barrels a day, preliminary data from the General Administration of Customs showed on Wednesday. Imports were 11.9% higher on year and up 5.2% from December and Refined-oil product imports in January were 3.76 million tons.
