Russia faces sanctions as early as Monday in its standoff with the West and Ukraine over the Crimea peninsula, Poland's foreign minister told Austrian weekly magazine Profil over the weekend.
"We are discussing several options with EU members and the U.S.," Poland's Radoslaw Sikorski was quoted in an interview published on the magazine's website. "In case the situation doesn't de-escalate and the so-called referendum in Crimea goes ahead, we will present a list of sanctions at the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels on Monday," he added.
