The U.K.’s FTSE 100 index advanced today after solid manufacturing and housing data, while well-received earnings reports from Lloyds Banking Group and BSkyB also helped spur an upbeat trading mood.
The FTSE index gained 0.4% to 6,805.02, setting it on track for the highest close since early March.
