The asian markets are still relatively weak after yesterdays Chinese sell off. The Shanghai index is still in the red and investors are on sell side too . Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.2% to 2,030.47.Meanwhile, Hong Kong markets struggled to overcome weakness in financial and property shares, with the rise of Chinese new-energy stocks helping lift the Hang Seng Index up by 0.3% to 22,378.90. Japanese equities are starting on the downside, as would be expected after gains for the yen and losses for Wall Street. At this point, the blue-chip Nikkei Average is carrying a 0.5% loss, though off its opening 1% deficit. Likewise, the broader Topix is down 0.6%.The kospi is up however the singapore strait times index and the jakarta index is down.The sgx nifty too is in negative territory.
